General terms
The Flæðarmál Privacy Policy is based on the Icelandic Act L. 90/2018 on Data Protection and the Processing of Personal Data. Flæðarmál strives to comply with all applicable legislation and not to process personal data if there is no legal basis for such processing. Berit Mueller is the data controller for the processing of personal data that takes place in connection with the service.
By accessing and/or using the website and/or booking a consultation, lecture, or course, you agree to this Privacy Policy and any changes that may be made to it.

Personal data and their processing
Information is considered personal data if it identifies a specific individual or could be used to identify a specific individual.
The processing of personal data refers to an operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means. Personal data is not processed unless such processing is permitted or required by law. Furthermore, personal data is stored in a form that ensures that the data subject cannot be identified for longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the data is processed.

The processing of payment information is necessary to be able to pay for Berit Mueller's services, if and when applicable.
The legal basis is the consent of the data subject for the processing for the above-mentioned purposes.
Retention of personal data
Flæðarmál strives to ensure the security of personal data through appropriate technical and organizational measures that prevent unlawful processing and the accidental loss or alteration of data. In the event of a security breach, it is reported to the Data Protection Authority and the individuals concerned, when applicable.
To provide the best possible information, Berit Mueller regularly consults with other professionals regarding the special cases of the clients worked with. These consultations are conducted in such a way that confidentiality is maintained to the best of her ability.
Individuals' rights regarding access of personal data
In accordance with the law, an individual may have the right to access or receive a copy of the personal data that Flæðarmál holds about them. Such information will be provided upon request.
Individuals' rights regarding rectification of personal data
An individual also has the right to have their personal data rectified if it is incorrect.
Individuals' rights regarding to erasure and restriction of processing personal data
In certain cases, an individual may have the right to have their personal data erased or its processing restricted. If clients have given their consent for the collection of personal data, they may withdraw such consent at any time without explanation. Sensitive personal data will be deleted when the service ends. Some information may be stored for longer if specific rules apply, e.g., tax or accounting laws.
Request from a third party
If a third party requests information on behalf of an individual, or requests the erasure or rectification of information, they must have a clearly signed authorisation or have authorisation in accordance with the law.
Complaint to the Data Protection Authority and jurisdiction
If an individual believes that the processing of personal data has not been in accordance with the law, the individual has the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.
Should a dispute arise regarding this privacy policy, the parties shall try their utmost to reach an agreement on the dispute, but otherwise the case shall be brought before the Reykjavík District Court. Any dispute regarding this policy shall be resolved in accordance with Icelandic law.
Changes to the privacy policy and administrator
Flæðarmál reserves the right to change this privacy policy at any time, and such changes will take effect without prior notice upon publication of the changes on the website.
