About Flæðarmál

Berit(5of5)-3_edited.jpg

My name is Berit and I am a Certified Holistic Sex Educator from ISEE and a certified Sensiplan® instructor. Additionally, I draw from a background in teaching and gender studies.

I am born and raised in Germany, now living in Iceland. In my work, I want to encourage menstruators to manifest a curious and loving relationship towards the regular changes in their bodies and a holistic understanding of them. I am aiming at reducing shame, taboos and misinformation around the topic of menstruation and fertility.

I first learned about non-hormonal birth control in my early twenties from a friend of mine. Yet, it would take some more years until I decided to dive deeper into it and selftaught myself a version of natural family planning. I realised how little I actually knew about my body and benefited highly from the new knowledge. Several years later, in early 2023, I decided to become a fertility awareness instructor and chose Sensiplan® as it is the most effective and most researched method, and additionally taught secularly. Since then, I follow the Sensiplan® rules for charting and interpreting and am looking forward to accompany you on your own journey.

My approach to you will be always sex positive, inclusive and queer-friendly. No matter where you come from or what you plan to explore, my aim will be to support you in making healthy and empowering choices towards your own sexuality and your relationships.
