By accessing and/or using the website and/or booking an introduction, lecture or course, you agree to these terms and conditions. Flæðarmál reserves the right to change or withdraw these terms and conditions at any time. Flæðarmál also reserves the right to make changes or withdraw content on the website.

General terms

Berit Mueller is licensed to teach the Sensiplan® method by the Arbeitsgruppe Natürliche Familienplanung, MW Malteser Werke gGmbH, Erna-Scheffler-Str. 2, 51103 Cologne, Germany. To maintain her license, Berit Mueller must regularly attend further training and supervision by the above-mentioned organizations.

The methods, materials, courses and interviews are educational and informative but should not be used to diagnose or treat diseases. In the event of a health problem, it is always advisable to contact a healthcare provider. ​

Studies on the effectiveness of Sensiplan in preventing pregnancy have shown that the method efficacy is 99.4% and the user efficacy is 98.2% study 1 study 2. The use of the method to prevent pregnancy is at the user's own responsibility.

When booking services to increase the chance of pregnancy, there is no guarantee that pregnancy will occur. For prolonged difficulties with conception (12 months or longer), it is always advisable to consult a doctor.

Website content

Although all content is carefully checked and constantly updated, it cannot be guaranteed that it is complete, accurate and up-to-date.

Material on this website that is copyrighted by Flæðarmál may be copied, downloaded and distributed, provided that Flæðarmál is indicated along with the URL of the site cited.

Consumer contracts

In the event that the buyer falls under the definition of § 2. 1 of the Icelandic Act on Consumer Contracts L.16/2016, the provisions of that Act shall apply. A consumer is defined as an individual who is a buyer in a transaction covered by the Act for a purpose that is not related to the buyer's job.

The provisions of the contract that refer to the provisions of the Act on Consumer Contracts and or use the wording consumer only apply when the definition of a consumer is met. The provisions therefore do not apply to legal entities.

Hosting of the service

Flæðarmál uses the software Kara Connect to collect payments and offer distance learning courses and remote consultations.

Kara Connect is a data processor (see Kara Connect's terms of use here).

Prices

Prices are quoted in Icelandic krónur and all official taxes are included in the prices quoted on the site. For transactions from abroad, the current daily exchange rate applies.

All prices are subject to typographical errors and Flæðarmál reserves the right to cancel any transaction if an incorrect price has been quoted.

Payment

Courses are paid for in full before they begin. Cancellations or absences can be made in accordance with the cancellation and absence terms below.

Payment is made with the credit or debit card provided when registering in Kara Connect. Flæðarmál does not have access to the card information of the purchaser.

Receipts can be accessed via your own login area at Kara Connect.

Discounts

In certain cases, Flæðarmál issues discount and promotional codes, these codes are either one-time use or valid for a limited period of time. Flæðarmál reserves the right to revoke these codes at any time and reserves the right to reverse orders placed with such codes if there is any suspicion that they have been misused.

Discount codes cannot be added after an order has been confirmed. Discount codes do not apply to products that are already on sale or discounted.

Right of withdrawal

According to § 16 of the Icelandic Consumer Contracts Act L.16/2016, the consumer has a fourteen-day period to withdraw from the contract by notifying the seller. The consumer does not have to state any reason for his decision to withdraw from the contract and shall not bear any costs other than those provided for in the 3rd paragraphs of § 21, 22 and 23 of this Act.

Special attention is drawn to § 18(e) of this same Act: Sealed goods cannot be returned after the seal has been broken after delivery when public health or hygiene reasons prevent the goods from being returned.

Included in the course fee are teaching materials and a thermometer. Once they have been delivered, they cannot be returned and the cost is deducted from the refund (18,000 ISK, July 2025). In the case of distance learning courses, this applies when the data and thermometer have been sent by mail.

Cancellations and absences - Individual bookings

Cancellations, changes or absences must be reported in writing either by email to berit@flaedarmal.is or by text message to (+354 699-7812).

The notification is not considered received if it is made by any other means. It is technically not possible to report cancellations through the software Kara Connect.

Notification must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee.

The cancellation fee is 50% of the price if the cancellation is made within 24 hours but more than 12 hours before the booked appointment. If the cancellation is made less than 12 hours before the booked appointment, or if no cancellation is made, the full price for the service is to be paid.

Flæðarmál reserves the right to make changes and cancel appointments.

Cancellations and absences - Group courses and lectures

Cancellations, changes or absences must be reported in writing either by email to berit@flaedarmal.is or by text message to (+354 699-7812).

 

The notification is not considered received if it is made by any other means. It is technically not possible to report cancellations through the software Kara Connect.

 

Absences, changes and cancellations must be reported at least eight days before the group course begins or a lecture takes place in order to avoid a cancellation fee.

 

If notification is received with shorter notice, the full price for the course is paid.

 

If the consumer misses a class, it cannot be guaranteed that they will be placed in another group.

 

Flæðarmál reserves the right to make changes and cancel courses and lectures.

Special conditions that apply to Sensiplan® courses

The standardised Sensiplan® course for contraception consists of four sessions over a three months period. The recommended time between sessions is two to four weeks. If more than six weeks elapse between sessions, a fifth session may need to be scheduled, which is not included in the course fee. An additional fee is charged for that session (30,000 ISK, July 2025).

Other

The adjudicating body for disputes in the field of consumer affairs is the Complaints Committee for the Purchase of Goods and Services (Kærunefnd vöru- og þjónustukaupa).

If a dispute arises regarding the terms and conditions, the parties shall make every effort to reach a settlement, otherwise the matter shall be brought before the District Court of Reykjavík, Iceland. All disputes regarding this agreement shall be resolved in accordance with Icelandic law.
